HOMAG breaks ground on 4,500 m² Experience Center
HOMAG Group started construction of a 4,500 square-metre Experience Center, expanding its capacity to run live machine demonstrations and customer training.
HOMAG Group broke ground on a new 4,500 square-metre Experience Center in July 2025, extending the company's ability to host live production demonstrations rather than static machine displays.
The facility is designed around complete process chains instead of individual machines: panels enter as raw board and leave as finished, edge-banded and drilled furniture components. Visitors can follow a workpiece from cutting through edge banding, drilling and nesting on a single continuous line.
For the wider industry, the investment signals a shift in how capital equipment is sold. Buyers increasingly want to see throughput figures and changeover times measured on real material — MDF, chipboard, veneered panel and solid wood — before committing to a line.
HOMAG is one of the anchor suppliers of the panel furniture equipment market, alongside Biesse, SCM and IMA Schelling. Its move follows similar demonstration-centre investments by European and Chinese builders competing for the same mid-to-large furniture factory projects.
