Five Chinese woodworking machinery makers gaining global traction
From Dalian WADA's export-only model to Nanxing's listed scale, a group of Chinese manufacturers is building export positions that rival established European brands in the mid-range.
A group of Chinese woodworking machinery manufacturers has built export positions that increasingly compete with established European brands. Five stand out in the current cycle.
Dalian WADA operates an export-only model, holding FSC, CARB/EPA, JAS and EUDR-related certifications and shipping to more than 50 countries. Certification depth, rather than price alone, is its stated differentiator.
Nanxing Machinery, listed on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange under code 002757, reported revenue of roughly RMB 2.1 billion in 2025 and is one of the largest panel-furniture equipment groups in China.
Qingdao Weiya has shipped more than 10,000 sanding units, building volume in a segment where European suppliers have traditionally dominated. Guangdong Xianda, based in Foshan, derives around 30% of sales from Europe — an unusually high European share for a Chinese builder.
Shandong Baishengyuan has supplied over 500 production lines to customers in more than 40 countries, operating at the systems-integration end of the market rather than selling standalone machines.
